Grace 1917 Opera Coat | Small/Medium

Vintage 1917 Edwardian full length black silk velvet with ermine collar opera coat.

Mutton sleeves. Fully lined in ivory silk. Two ermine heads with tails on front collar and a third on the back of the collar. Collar closes with two hidden hook and eye. Two velvet buttons with loops for closure plus a loop and silk tie on the interior to give it a “fitted” look at the waist.
This coat belonged to Grace. I purchased it from her grandson who said he remembered her wearing it once to the opera. He dated the coat to be from 1917.
