Notched collar with upper collar in velvet and lower part of collar top stitched wool with rounded corner
Open front with no closure or sign of closure. May have had hook and eye originally
Under the front wool is brown velvet trimmed in looped twist trim in cream and black. Gives illusion of a second piece underneath the wool
Four round cord trim with tassels ending in wood beads festoon the front
Velvet waist band has a tab in front with no closure
Long sleeves with gathered shoulders and gathering at cuff
Trimmed velvet folded back cuffs lined in cocoa brown cotton and hand sewn onto wool sleeve
Back of jacket fitted ending in a small set of pleated tails trimmed and two corded round top tassels matching the same on front
Lined in cocoa brown cotton
Fitted in the tradition of the time
