Antique Victorian 1900s Navy wool bodice jacket
Dark navy blue and white dobby wool with a stripe and diamond pattern
Black silk high neck collar trimmed in a ruffle and a single hook and eye closure
Double columns of fabric covered 5/8” buttons down the front, 30 buttons in total.
Hook and eye for closure
Three pleats on each front
The back is fitted with a gourded insert on each side
Gigot leg o’ mutton sleeve with an asymmetrical cuff and 4 decorative fabric covered buttons
Unlined
Whip stitch internal seams
Very wearable

Fits like a Small
Shoulders: 14”
Bust: up to 38” (hook and eyes could easily be moved to increase bodice size)
Waist: up to 42”
Sleeve length: 24”
Sleeve opening: 4” diameter
Length: Front 20”/ Back 19.5”
Neck: 15” but could move the hook and eye to increase circumference up-to another 1.5”

Condition: Very Good
* 1/2” hole in fabric, mendable, in back left near shoulder seam (see pic)
* a small mend (lower back near seam) and mend near rear right back near sleeve seam (see pics)
* stain left cuff (see pic)
* some stress to silk at neckline (see pic)
* one button missing some fabric (see pic)
